Photo book portfolios created to showcase someone’s photography, artwork, or hand-made jewelry has been another type of ‘story’ I’ve found in the Shutterfly Gallery. A fun and practical variation on this idea is the children’s artwork portfolio.
A tongue-in-cheek example was added to the Gallery by Shutterfly’s own Eugene-C “ The abstract art of my 3 year old nephew” was created as a gift for his sister. He describes with faux sincerity the skill and accomplishments of this budding artist.
LisaS201’s “ drawing book” was motivated out of a desire to showcase her children’s artwork that was stored away in closets at home. She includes some photos of her budding artists as well.
GeorgeH8’s “ Kindergarten Art Book” has inspired me to preserve the many projects that come home from school with my children at the end of the year in a book to enjoy for years to come.
Rather than scanning, I’d recommend just laying the pictures on a flat surface outside or in a brightly lit area (without shadows) and photographing them.
Share your portfolio’s of photographs, artwork and other creations with us in the Shutterfly Gallery .
