Many photo books added to our Gallery are described as gifts for grandparents – books that showcase the latest photos of their grandchildren and ways for parents to share the activities and events that fill grandchildrens’ lives.
Several books I’ve seen recently have chronicled simple and yet significant gifts from grandparents to their grandchildren.
KellyM799’s “ Aidens Naming” describes the Crow Naming Ceremony that her father held to give his name (Talks with His Enemy) to his grandson Aiden. The book also serves as a tribute to her father who died in January.
Alimaplesyrup’s “ Making Applesauce” may be a more commonplace event and yet still serves as a symbolic description of passing on traditions through generations and the price that comes with that.
Do you have a tradition that you have chronicled in a photo book to preserve for another generation to remember and enjoy? Share it to Shutterfly Gallery.
