Start Your 2008 Year in Review

yearinreview.jpgI can’t believe it’s almost June! The first half of the year and it’s many highlights have flown by. Seeing kristajean’s “ 2007 Year in Review” reminded me to get started on my 2008 year in review now.
I love kristajean’s simple lists of monthly highlights. She’s also beautifully displayed a handful of photos, some in black and white, that match one or more of those items on her list. I’m prompted to make a folder of my favorite photos thus far in the year and keep a running list of things I want to remember to note in my year in review book. Then, when the end of the year rolls around, I’m already on my way to creating my book.
If you’re like me and do a year in review book collaboratively with siblings, check out Shutterfly’s Share 2.0 Beta. This is a new easy to communicate year-around with family or other groups and collect pictures throughout the year for use in photo books.
And, share your year in review books to Gallery to inspire others to get started.

This is another book Ive been wanting to do! I get so inspired by everyone’s books in the Gallery! I can’t believe June is almost here, where did May go??? Thats a good tip to make a folder of your favorite pictures thus far.
I’ve seen a couple other Guru’s pages that they’ve done using the new Beta program. Looks cool.

Thanks for the tip and reminding me to get my photos organized for 2008 Year In Review. Do you think it will matter if some of the photos have been used in previous photobooks I’ve made this year? I hate to be redundant.

    Thanks again,

What a great idea! All your favorites in one place! How do you ever decide which ones are favorites?

Great ideas! Using a list is a very clever idea. It seems like such an easy way to keep things simple, a very hard thing for me to do. I’m looking forward to altering the idea just enough to use it for my children’s year in review books! JennaMcLucas, Shutterfly Gallery Guru
