We’ve just released two fantastic new features on Shutterfly Gallery! And the best part is, they are exactly what many of you have been asking for.
Shutterfly Gallery search: Easily find any book or even a specific community member through our new search feature. In addition to our existing Shutterfly site search, we will have a Shutterfly Gallery exclusive mini-search that will allow you to look in posted books by specific words in the title, description, keyword and of course, the author’s community name. Just note that results will only show for exact word search so make sure to double check your spelling!
Try it now, by entering your search term in the “Gallery Search” field of any Gallery page.
Email notifications: Get your email inbox ready! If a comment is left about your posted photo book on Shutterfly Gallery, we’ll send you an email letting you know. Worried about spam? Never fear! Any comments left in the past 24 hours will be combined into one easy-to-read email and if you really don’t want them anymore, you will have the ability to opt-out simply by going to your ‘About me’ page going to your Shutterfly Gallery email preferences page.
To opt out of Gallery email notifications, go to your Shutterfly Gallery profile
Choose the change email preferences link
And click on the “do not email” option.

I’m very excited about these new features. I’ll have to write down people’s Gallery names now. I tried it on mine and it is so cool! I, too, love how you guys are keeping so on top of things and making this site even more user friendly. It’s getting more popular every day!!

please let me find out how to find our baseball pics that were taken by a man and he told us he would post them on this website and i cannot find them. please contact me and let me know how to do this. franklin, indiana– little league baseball—yankees

Brandi,
I don’t know how else to contact you so i hope you come back to this page. I typed in ‘Little League’ in the search on the Gallery Page and found 2 that might be what you are looking for. One is Little Leage by TerryS11 and the other one is Yankees 2008 Dexter By AndrewL211. You can either type in their names in the area where it says search or type in Little League.
Did this man make a photobook? I don’t know how else to find them other than contacting him if they are just prints.
Hope this helps.

I used this feature this weekend and it’s just great! Sometimes I can only remember a members’ first name or a key word and this makes the search so much faster. Thanks!

I love the new search features. I’ve found some amazing books but doing a simply key word search. I also love the e-mail notifications when you have a comment. Sometimes I get so busy and don’t have time to check Shutterfly everyday so the e-mail notification makes it so simply. I always try to answer individuals questions they might ask about my books of if they response back to a question I’ve asked. Thanks Shutterfly for always providing these wonderful improvements!!

I have restored 21 peices of art work my daughter made when she was a little girl. Now that she has a little girl of her own i want to give them to her through one of your products. I don’t know where to begin. Can you help me? I would be profoundly greatful if I could get this done by August. The 7th is her birthday. Thank you so much.

I am trying to get tips on techniques as I work to make a book for my mom’s 75th birthday. I will be using very old photos which don’t scan well on my home scanner. Any suggestions on where on the website I can look for tips from users?

Hi,
Rachel B here, your Shutterfly Community Curator. If you’re interested in getting your old photos scanned, you might look into utilizing a service, like Scan Cafe.

The new search feature is a wonderful and makes searching on favorite community memeber’s albums much quicker. The email notifications are also a nice add.
For future consideration, here are some additional items for thought:
1) I would like to reply to other community members and / or submit questions to other members without releasing my private email. Perhaps a ‘chat forum’ would be helpful??? A place where we can share tips and tricks amongst members.
2) Varied paper selections for Photobooks. The image quality on the matte paper finishes used by Shutterfly is great. However, there are occasions where I want the finished product to be in a glossy format. I am having to use another photobook source for this. Any thoughts on adding different finish choices? (Matte, glossy, etc.) It would be an EXTRA SPECIAL FEATURE if you could select the finish BY PAGE.
Shutterfly is my #1 source for preserving family & friend’s memories. You definitely have the pulse of your members and it is wonderful to find a company that does such a SUPERIOR job of responding to their customers’ needs. I have spoke with the Customer Service representatives on an occasion or two and they do an excellent job as well. (Love the online chat feature; first class!) Keep us the great work………you guys ROCK!
