Sharing on Share

by Rachel-B | Posted in Techniques

First of all, have you built your Shutterfly Share site yet? If not, get on it, because it’s easy to set up, incredibly useful, and looks sharp and professional with very little effort.

Plus it has all sorts of fun features like calendars, photo uploads, blogs, forums, polls, rosters, task lists, and more. So you can use it as your own site, a family site, a team site, school site, wedding site, anything really.

Second, once you’ve created your fabulous Share site, did you know you can use it to share your favorite photo books (yours included of course)? Here’s how.

HOW TO EMBED A PHOTO BOOK ON YOUR SHARE SITE

1. On page you want to embed your favorite photo book, click on “Add a section to this page” link.

I was so excited when I figured this out. It sounds difficult, but is really EASY. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. I wish i had these step-by-step instructions, although Tiffany’s did the trick. These are very helpful and anyone who wants to embedd a book, will have no problems after reading this how-to guide.
    Great tips Rachel.

Ok I just did this for the first time and it took me like 4 minutes. So it was very easy, I had been meaning to do this and kept putting it off but I wanted to try it so I could leave a comment if I found it to be easy. I just love the share sites, my family love them, especially the ones that live away because they can keep up with our lives. It was so funny at the last big family get together someone was sharing a story about my son and my cousin is like I already know that from Tammy’s site, I laughed. I told the rest that is why they should be on the site as well. I also made a team site for my son’s high school baseball team, the boys loved it, they all loved it so much they checked it very frequently and my son said they even got a lot of the pics and put them onto their MY Space pages. The moms loved it to, I made collages for the boys so the moms could go on and see them. I rambling but I really do love the share sites. Kudos to Shutterfly! Thanks Rachel for the tips.

I’ve had a few people contact me to see how to do this…. This will be a great help for them (and I wish it was there when I had to figure it out… ha ha).

Oh I have been working on my share site. I actually started playing with it right after it was announced. I hope to upload new photos to it this week to go “public” quite soon. It really is rather easy. Though, some of the tips are quite useful. I had not had it all figured out. LOL Thanks Rachel!

I am so excited that I have a Shutterfly share page. It is a wonderful place to post your photos and have friends and family check in. I have family and friends…near and far….that I keep updated with the share page. It is so much easier than emailing photos. I get the chance to be creative and have fun with my photographs. Shutterfly makes it easy too. I have all of my photos on Shutterfly and pop them over to their share site to post. I can use any pc to do that….:) Also I must say putting the site together was a breeze too. Really easy. I am inspired to see other Shutterflyers’ and Gurus’ sites to see what they can do with all of the options. Now my goal is to have my family leave comments so I know they stopped by!!
