Let me preface this article by letting you know we’ll be talking about family pets – so if you’re not into the whole four-legged-friend thing, you may skip this read. But if you love furry critters, then let’s party!
Do you have pets? If so, have you taken a look at our Pets category? No? Then stop right now and visit immediately. I guarantee it will make you smile.
Still haven’t convinced you? Then let me share some of my favorite furry photo books.
What I love about ’ Doodle and Crinkle‘ is that Emeline has captured her adorable cats looking relaxed and utterly themselves.
‘ Suzy Cloe‘ and ‘ While You Were Away‘ are two more examples of furry critters looking absolutely adorable. These terriers are full of feisty personality.
I also love the books that pay tribute to animals in our lives. ‘ Life With Molly‘ is about a beloved Cocker Spaniel. ‘ Miss Kitty‘ tells the story of a lovely girl who is missed by her family.
And then there’s the wilder side. Check out these gorgeous photo books devoted to horses. ‘ MS Magnum Max 2008‘ took my breath away. What a magnificent guy. And ‘ Wild Horses of Corolla‘ is another stunning study of these powerful graceful creatures.
What are your favorite animal photo books? Let us know by commenting on this blog. And if you have a photo book you’d like to share, we welcome you to post it on Shutterfly Gallery.

I have seen a couple of these books you mentioned in you article, but not all. I just love seeing the images people capture of their pets. I’m hoping to do a puppy book on my brother and sister-in-law’s new Shizt Tzu. She is so precious. They live 3 hours away, so I hope they make it home soon so I can do a ‘photo shoot’ of the new family member. Seeing these books gives me great tips.
I have seen quite a few animal photobooks that really strike my eye, of course now I can’t think of their titles.
Great article.

Oh this must be a fun category to browse. I love the photo above…OUCH, how fun. I spend so much time taking pictures of my children that I often forget to take photos of our furry friends. Our family has 2 Shih Tzus, Bella and Scuddles. They are such wonderful family members. This article inspires me to create a book just about them. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

Before our children were born, my husband and myself had a wonderful beagle named Ginger. I have so many pictures of her thoughout her life in our photo albums. I am sure if Shutterfly was around in the 15 plus years ago, there would have been many books about our four legged fur child. It looks like I have another project to work on soon…a book on our beloved beagle…Ginger Snapp Cookie.

This article and all of the books listed above have made me realize I need to get started making my animal books. I have tons of pictures and just need to gather them and add them to a book. Thanks for inspiring me to get started.
