LisaH26’s “Calvert Street Mural” tells the story of a community art project at Calvert Street Elementary School. We get to meet the artists, see how they sketch out each drawing before the over 200 painters (teachers, students, parents and community members), and then enjoy the finished project. In addition to the photos, we learn about the reaction of the school and community to the effort.

There have been a several different photo books shared with Gallery recently that shared one common element – using song lyrics as captions or journaling in their book.

Photo book portfolios created to showcase someone’s photography, artwork, or hand-made jewelry has been another type of ‘story’ I’ve found in the Shutterfly Gallery. I don’t know about you but my house is continually filled with piles of artwork from my 3 and 5 year old. Wanting to save it, but yet not knowing what to do with it is a constant struggle. So, when I saw GeorgeH8’s book, Kindergarten Art Book, I was inspired. She has scanned in her son’s artwork throughout his kindergarten year into a photo book. Not only are the pictures great
