Off the beaten wedding path
by Rachel-B | Posted in Stories we likeShutterfly Gallery has taught me that weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and that every wedding has a special story to tell. Take mine for instance.
We planned our wedding in 6 weeks - scary, I know, but it actually worked. The secret? Don’t laugh, but the key to our success was in large part due to our wedding date - April 1, 2000. Since many couples were squeamish about choosing April Fool’s Day for a wedding ceremony, all the services associated with weddings for that particular day were available - some at a nice discount, too.

Sepia Toned Photos
by LaraH | Posted in Stories we likeDestaL’s “Fathers Day 2008” is a beautifully photographed tribute to her husband, the father of her two children.
I find the photos particularly effective because she edits many with sepia tones to simplify the image. She’s also used the Geo Royale Father’s Day photo book style with a palette that includes brown, orange, and yellow to accompany these images.

Playful Wedding Portraits
by LaraH | Posted in Stories we likeSeveral recent wedding photo books in the Gallery made me stop and take a second look because of the fun, playful angles that the photographer took when shooting the bride, groom and guests during the big day. BarbaraB362’s “Bryan and Sarah’s Wedding Day in Hawaii” features many typical shots except the photographer regularly tilts the camera to the side, creating a unique memory.
